Synopsis

Prologue: The Golden Age

Once, their world was bathed in gold. Beneath the vaults of their ancestral castle, within the silence of opulent halls, two sisters—heirs to an ancient and affluent lineage—knew no care but to greet the dawn. Their lives were woven from silk, music, and the unyielding certainty of tomorrow. But fate held darker designs for them.

Act I: The Fall into Darkness

What occurred could only be called "the great betrayal of life." Against their will, through agony and terror, they were torn from human existence. A piercing chill coursed through their veins as an unknown force transformed them into creatures of the night.

From that day, the world’s colors changed forever. They gained a gift that became their curse: flesh that forgot its wounds; senses sharpened to an inhuman edge; and strength capable of crushing stone. But the price was staggering—eternal exile from the kingdom of the Sun. Now, even a stray beam of dawn threatened them with death, and the endless, somber night became their only home.

 

Act II: Two Paths, One Curse

The sisters embraced their new nature differently, like mirrors reflecting the darkness from opposing angles.

The Elder Sister draped herself in cold majesty. She surrendered, inviting the twilight into her heart. Her movements grew predatory, and her gaze became indifferent to the suffering of mortals. She learned to rule the night.

The Younger Sister became a prisoner of her own memory. She refused to believe her former self was dead. Dreams of the warm, brilliant sun haunted her everywhere, like a phantom limb. In every gust of wind, she heard echoes of past laughter; in every scent of nocturnal flowers, the fragrance of her childhood garden. She lived in perpetual longing for the people she once knew and the light she no longer dared to behold.

 

Act III: The Price of Humanity

Her new nature demanded sacrifice, but her soul rebelled against violence. She could not become a predator. She could not extinguish the life of another to prolong her own ghostly existence.

Witnessing her sister’s fading spirit, the Elder took the burden of sin upon herself. In secret alleyways, hidden from the eyes of heaven, she met with the Dark Merchant—a woman whose hands were stained by a forbidden trade. There, in exchange for gold and secrets, she bought "crimson life" in vessels, so that her sister might exist without the need to kill.

Epilogue: The Unquenchable Flame

 

This is a story of the paradox of immortality. Though a cold stone sat where a beating heart once lived, light continued to flicker in the deepest reaches of the younger sister's being. It was light in every sense: purity of thought, the brilliance of memories, and an unyielding will for good.

She proved that one can lose their reflection in a mirror yet keep the reflection of the Divine within. Her body belonged to the darkness, but her soul remained faithful to the Sun.
